Pumpkin pumpkin pumpkin!
Who would of thought that there would be so many benefits to applying pumpkin on your face?
Just like most vegetables, pumpkins help promote cell regrowth, smoothes and brightens the skin. It also contains zinc and other minerals such as potassium, copper, magnesium and iron (just to name a few) to help in fighting acne and promote healthy hair and skin regrowth. Pumpkins are also high in vitamin C and E which will help protect the skin from free radical damage and promote collagen production, which will improve the skins elasticity. Pumpkins also contains carotenoids, by consuming foods that have a high source of carotenoids will help with reversing UV damage and improving the skins texture.
Here's a quick DIY body/face scrub you can make:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin (or pumpkin puree)
- Mix sugar ingredients together. Apply on skin, scrub in circular motion, rinse and enjoy!
